It is late in the summer, and as the students prepare for the new school year at Hogwarts everything seems well. Maybe a little too well....

Chapter 1: Wolfsbane Potion

Effects: While this potion doesn't cure lycanthropy, it does prevent the extremely dangerous dementia which would otherwise accompany the transformation from human into werewolf.

A fairly recent invention, very difficult to brew. Many master potioneers strive for the perfection in this potion. Many fail.

Invented by Marcus Belby's uncle Damocles, who received the Order of Merlin

This potion handles five different ingredients: Wolfsbane (handful), Rat Parts (1/4 Cup), Spoiled Peppermint (3 sprigs), Black Beetle Parts (handful), and Cockroaches (5-6)

Begin your potion by bringing the wolfsbane to a boil in 1/4 cup of goat milk. This should become boiling within seconds. Drop 2 sprigs of peppermint into the potion and stir 300 times clockwise at a very fast pace.

Add the black beetle parts slowly in the last 50 stirs. The potion should be brown. Unlike many potions, this color will not change. If it's not brown, you need more beetle parts. And you'll be stretched for time.

Add the cockroaches as you let to potion simmer, one cockroach every two minutes. Sparks should emit with each cockroach. If they don't your potion is too hot, continue to let it simmer before adding more. When the sparks emit noise, you need no more cockroaches. Add the rat parts along with another 1/4th cup of water and stir clockwise until the liquid has no 'chunks'. Bottle, add last sprig in vial, and cap.

To test: Use on hand, if your hair grows, it isn't ready. And you will need to shave.
