It is late in the summer, and as the students prepare for the new school year at Hogwarts everything seems well. Maybe a little too well....

Chapter 1: Befuddlement

Befuddlement potions are very similar to confusing ones. They make you forget, change your mind and they taste a lot better. A befuddlement potion contains scurvy grass while confusing one's must NOT have scurvy grass.

First you roll out a batch of sneezewort with a metal cyllinder, preferrably pewter and slice it into thin strips. Bring half a cup of water to a boil in any cauldron and put in a handful of sneezewort. Stir for 5 minutes in a clockwise motion and add 3 sprigs of scurvy grass.

Let the potion simmer while you chop your lovage (four leaves will do) and when the potion has turned a perfect baby pink, you can drop in the lovage pinch by pinch until the potion turns a deep red. Let it come to a boil and it should turn blue. Bottle and cap it!

To Test: Use on frog legs, if they swell up, the potion is complete.

Chapter 2: Confusing Potion

Similar to befuddlement, but instead of forgetting, just becomes severely confused and is not able to comprehend the nature of the situation the victim is put in. May possibly regain memory, but is nice for a quick getaway. Also: Much quicker to make with less area for error.

Bring a cup of chamomile tea to a simmer and add one full leaf of lovage. Stir clockwise, slowly, until lovage dissipates and then pour out half of the tea into your phial. Let potion sit as you roll out sneezewort with hands into thin tube, chop into five one-inch pieces and add to potion one by one, stirring 4 times between each drop. Potion should turn a dark green.

To Test: Use a white rabbits foot, if nails grow test worked, if foot turns pink, add a few more sneezewort drops.
