It is late in the summer, and as the students prepare for the new school year at Hogwarts everything seems well. Maybe a little too well....

Chapter 1: Fire Protection Potion

Fire protection is a nice fall back if your charms are not yet up to par. Aurors are required to have at least one of these potions with them at all times, and when made in class, the potions marked correct generally are donated to such causes.

To begin you roll out dead leeches into a thin slab of goo and add lacewings on top. You pound this into a thin sheet with the bottom of something glass (your phial should work fine). Then, the sheet should be cut into one inch squares and peeled carefully up.

Begin to boil 1/2 cup of water and add one square at a time until the potion turns pink. When it does, stir 100 times counterclockwise. Add three sprigs of ginger and immediately take off the fire.

Bottle the liquid and cap it once it's sat for 10 minutes.

To Test: Use willow wood, dip it in potion and try to burn it. If it doesn't burn, the potion is a success.
