Lesson Three - Muggle Cooking

Assignment One:
Design a three course meal that consists of an entree, main, and dessert. Include recipes for the three courses, and a brief outline to the things that would be needed the you have never heard of. Perhaps you have never heard of a microwave to defrost something, or you've never heard of creaming butter.

Assignment Two:
Chose one cooking aspect, whether it is a technique to cook eggs or a method of heating. Consider the muggle way of doing it, and briefly compare it to the way that a wizard would do it. Which is more convenient? Which takes more work? Is one fast than the other? Think about if you are a child, either without a wand or not knowing the spell, would this be a situation that would benefit from added muggle appliances?

Assignment Three:
Compare your kitchen in your magical home to the one in a muggle home. How are they different. If you are muggleborn, or your parents chose to live as muggles, compare your kitchen to the average wizarding kitchen. Explain their size, and the items inside.

Assignment Four:
Think of a food that is unknown of in the wizarding world. Some of you have never eaten peanut butter, or consumed soda. So think about this, and write a short piece on whether these should be introduced into wizarding society or not. Now do the reverse. There are some things that only we consume. Butterbeer or firewhiskey are prime examples.
