Defense Against The Dark Arts Syllabus

Defense Against The Dark Arts is NOT an easy class. This will be the hardest class you will take, I am not an easy professor, I don't give out warnings. You screw up and points are gone, detentions are given and I won't be nice about it. You will learn great things in my class, how to defend against spells and creatures, not the nice kind. You will learn about casual defense in the first three years and if you decide to pursue a career stated below, you will learn more than you ever wanted too. This. Will. Be. Hard. But completely worth it!

At the end of your third year you MUST choose a career path and it will be tested at the end of your fifth year. The options that include potions are: Auror, Curse Breaker, Hit Wizard, Magical Law Enforcement Squad, Magizoologist, Obliviator, Spell Inventor, or a Professor of Defense Against The Dark Arts (for this job you must also prepare to be one of the proceeding jobs as well.)

There will be 4 lessons each year and a final.
For 5th years this is the OWLs, which evaluates you on whether or not you will MAKE it into the job you wish.
For 7th years this is the NEWTs, which is your final examination at Hogwarts.

Homework
This could be anywhere from a word search to a page where you have to tell me all the ways you would use a curse breaking spell.
Homework will be getting harder as you move up in grade levels. So enjoy it while you can.
